Art of Buffalo,
by Buffalo!
Photographs of Buffalo icons taken by NOMAD creator, Erica Eichelkraut, are enlarged, gridded and cut into small squares which are then selected by participants, re-created and translated onto a large canvas. The end result will be a 2’x3’ mosiac painting of a Buffalo image created by 216 locals.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PAINTINGS:
There will be ten paintings total, involving over 2100 participants. The collection will be displayed and possibly auctioned to raise funds to print future issues of NOMAD, representing Buffalo art and literary talent.
HOW TO BECOME A PART OF THE PROJECT:
Check our homepage or Twitter site for updates as to where the project will be set-up and when. Catch it at every WAM event, the last Wednesday a month.
ANYBODY CAN DO IT:
Simply paint a two-inch square to be a part of this project. Art made accessible, art made for all. Collaborate and donate without giving money. Amazing things can be accomplished when we come together.
